Hi, my name is Lada, I am an exchange student in the Erasmus program from Poland. I flew to Istanbul from Minsk, the capital of Belarus. The incredibly colorful city of Istanbul welcomed me in February with pleasantly warm weather (from -5C° I arrived at +17C °). Most of all in Istanbul I like its cultural and historical European part filled with an incredible number of historical attractions. The study of which is a complete pleasure. Definitely my favorite location that conveys the soul of Istanbul is Eminonu. Among the Turkish cuisine, I liked Turkish breakfasts the most, and also I can’t find 1000 words to describe how delicious Turkish sweets are. Definitely lukum is my most favorite sweet, for which you can sell your soul! I would like to mention the excellent work of the Erasmus Club of the University of Halic, which organized wonderful events for us, which helped all students to get acquainted with each other and make new friends. This is my second time at the University of Halic on Erasmus, so in comparison with last year, I would rate the work of the Erasmus club by 8.
Wonderful staff and teachers work at the University of Halic, and the university buildings are new and all conditions for students have been created. Although the study was quite difficult, I managed to find time to visit Cappadocia. It was in Cappadocia that I fulfilled my dream to fly in a hot air balloon! I absolutely advise all students to go to the Erasmus program at least once in their lives and experience this wonderful student time filled with incredible emotions.
