İngilizce Mütercim Tercümanlık bölümünden değerli hocamız Dr. Özgür Çavuşoğlu’nun, İtalya Roma Tre Üniversitesi ziyareti sonrası deneyimleri:Roma Tre Üniversitesi Yabancı Diller, Edebiyatlar ve Kültürler Bölümü’ndeki Erasmus Ders Verme Hareketliliğimi öğrencilerin ders sonunda alkışları ve hocalarıyla da birlikte fotoğraf çekimleriyle sona ermiştir. Bölüm Başkanı, Bölüm Erasmus Koordinatörü, Okul Erasmus Koordinatörü ve derslerine girdiğim hocalara Haliç Üniversitesi’nin hediyeleri verilmiştir. Ben de eşimle birlikte bu kişilere Türk kahvesi ile Türk lokumu hediye ettim. Okulun kütüphanesini ziyaret ettik. Bölüm Başkanı şehir dışındaydı, Bölümün diğer ders veren hocaları sadece derslerine gelip gidiyorlardı; her gün kampüste bulunmaları gerekmiyormuş. Bölüm Erasmus Koordinatörü Doç. Dr. Serenella Zanotti ve Dr. Silvia Pettini’nin sınıflarında kendileriyle birlikte ders yaptım.Her binada havaalanlarındaki gibi o gün yapılan ve yapılacak olan dersleri gösteren ekranlar vardı. Öğrenciler, derslerine düzenli bir biçimde geliyorlar (pek devamsızlık yapmadan) ve 15 dakika öncesinde sıralarına oturup hocalarını bekliyorlardı; dersleriyle ilgiliydiler. Sınıflarda bilgisayar, internet bağlantısı ve projeksiyonun yanında mikrofon da kullanılıyordu. Erasmus Ders Verme Hareketliliği iki taraf için de çok faydalı oldu. Öğrenciler, ders konum olan “Çeviribilim” (Translation Studies) alanı ile ilgili bilgilerinin arttığını, daha önce zaman zaman karşılaştıkları bu alanın işlevini ancak şimdi kavrayabildiklerini ifade ettiler ve ifadeyi benden öğrenerek Türkçe teşekkür ettiler. Ben de İtalyan dili, kültürü, eğitimi ve tarihi hakkında çok şey öğrendim. Bir dersime danışmanı olduğum ve şu anda aynı bölümde Erasmus öğrenim hareketliliğinde bulunan öğrencim Melis Deniz de katıldı ve birlikte bazı fotoğraflar da çekildik.Bu deneyimi yaşamamda emeği geçen Erasmus Ofisi’mize teşekkürü bir borç bilirim.
Dr. Özgür Çavuşoğlu, our esteemed lecturer from the Department of English Translation and Interpreting, shared his experiences after his visit to Roma Tre University, Italy:My Erasmus Staff Teaching Mobility at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at Roma Tre University ended with applause from the students and a photo session with the professors. Gifts from Haliç University were presented to the Department Chair, the Department Erasmus Coordinator, the School Erasmus Coordinator, and the professors whose classes I attended. My wife and I also gave Turkish coffee and Turkish delight to these individuals as gifts. We visited the university library. The Department Chair was out of town, and the other professors only came to campus to teach; they were not required to be on campus every day. I taught classes with the Department Erasmus Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serenella Zanotti, and Dr. Silvia Pettini.In every building, there were screens, similar to those in airports, showing the current and upcoming classes. Students regularly attended their classes (without much absenteeism) and sat at their desks 15 minutes before class, waiting for their professors; they were very focused on their studies. Classrooms were equipped with computers, internet connection, projectors, and microphones. The Erasmus Staff Teaching Mobility was beneficial for both sides. The students expressed that their knowledge in the field of “Translation Studies” had increased and that they had only now fully understood the function of the field, which they had encountered before. They thanked me in Turkish after learning the phrase. I also learned a great deal about the Italian language, culture, education, and history. My student Melis Deniz, who is currently participating in an Erasmus study mobility in the same department and is under my supervision, also joined one of my classes, and we took some photos together.I owe a great deal of gratitude to our Erasmus Office for making this experience possible.
