My Erasmus journey at Haliç University is coming to an end, and what an incredible experience it has been! Living in Istanbul has been exciting—from adapting to the chilly fall weather to exploring new flavors like tangy yogurt dishes and savory tavuk döner. While the language was a bit challenging at first, the warmth of the people made settling in easy. Academically, the hands-on classes and group projects were amazing, and connecting with international students was truly rewarding. Outside school, I loved exploring Istanbul’s historic landmarks, taking boat rides on the Bosphorus, and even ice-skating. This city, with its blend of old and new, offered so much growth both personally and academically, and I’m so grateful for the memories and lessons I’ll carry with me.
