Ben Çizgi Film ve Animasyon bölümü öğrencilerinden Ahsen Afra. 2. Sınıf bahar dönemi için erasmusa başvurmuştum. Erasmusa gitmek öğrencilik hayatım boyunca hayalimdi diyebilirim. Okulum Çek Cumhuriyeti’nin en doğusunda Polonya sınırında kalan Ostrava şehrindeydi. Gitmeden önce içimde bazı korkular olsa da orada edindiğim arkadaşlıklar, öğrenciler, etkinliklerle kendimi daha rahat ve alışmış hissetmem hiç de uzun sürmedi. Okuldaki öğretmenler Erasmus öğrencilerine karşı daha imtiyazlı yaklaşıyor ve seyahat etmemiz için bizi teşvik ediyorlardı. Çekya Avrupa’nın tam ortasında kalan küçük bir ülke olsa da ekonomisi, öğrencilere sağladığı imkanlar ve konumu dolayısıyla seyahat etmeye çok müsait, tam bir Erasmus ülkesi diyebilirim. Ülkenin her yerine trenlerle seyahat etmek mümkün. Üstelik öğrenciler için çok büyük indirimler oluyor. Bu sayede sık sık Prag ve çevre şehirleri gezebilme şansım oldu. Orada edindiğim tecrübeleri, biriktirdiğim anıları başka nerede edinebilirdim bilmiyorum. Cesur olup böyle bir tercih yaptığım için çok mutluyum.
I am Ahsen Afra, a second-year student in the Department of Cartoon and Animation. I had applied for Erasmus for the spring semester of my second year. Going on Erasmus was a dream of mine throughout my student life. My school was in Ostrava, a city in the far east of the Czech Republic, near the Polish border. Although I had some fears before going, it didn’t take long for me to feel comfortable and accustomed to the new environment, thanks to the friendships I made, the students, and the activities.The teachers at my school treated Erasmus students with more privileges and encouraged us to travel. Although the Czech Republic is a small country in the heart of Europe, its economy, the opportunities it offers to students, and its location make it a perfect Erasmus destination. It is very easy to travel all around the country by train, and there are huge discounts for students. Thanks to this, I had the chance to visit Prague and nearby cities frequently.I don’t know where else I could have gained the experiences and memories I gathered there. I am really happy that I made such a bold choice.
