Merhaba ben Furkan. İngilizce Mütercim-Tercümanlık bölümünde uzatmalı öğrenciyim. 2023-2024 Güz döneminde Erasmus+ KA171 programı ile Güney Kore’de Keimyung Üniversitesi’ne gittim. Bu benim ikinci Erasmus deneyimimdi ve kesinlikle tekrar yaptığım için çok mutluyum.Başka bir ülkede yaşamanın bana birçok katkısı oldu. Farklı ülkelerden çok iyi insanlarla tanışıp yeni ömür boyu arkadaşlar edindim. Üniversitenin üç farklı yemekhanesinde ve Daegu’daki restoranlarda çok güzel yemekler deneyimledim ve benim için okulun en önemli yanı olan International Lounge’da oturup ödev yapmak, arkadaşlarla sohbet etmek veya masa tenisi oynamak unutulamaz anılar yaratmamıza yol açtı. Karaoke odalarında inanılmaz eğlenceli vakitler geçirdik ve photo booth’larda anılarımızı ölümsüzleştirdik.Ben Korece sadece “merhaba” demeyi bilerek gittim ama gitmeyi düşünen herkese en azından gündelik ifadeleri öğrenmelerini tavsiye ederim çünkü çoğu kişi İngilizce bilmediği için iletişim zaman zaman zor oluyor. Ya da Korece konuşabilen arkadaşlarınıza dayanabilirsiniz benim yaptığım gibi :)Okul dönemi aralıkta bitti ve şubat ayına kadar geçerli vizem olduğu için 2 hafta Japonya’ya gitme fırsatım oldu. Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka ve Nara’yı gezdik ve zaman zaman yorucu olmasına rağmen çok eğlenceliydi.
Hello, I’m Furkan, a student in the English Translation and Interpreting Department, currently extending my studies. In the Fall semester of 2023-2024, I went to Keimyung University in South Korea through the Erasmus+ KA171 program. This was my second Erasmus experience, and I am definitely happy I did it again.Living in another country has provided me with many benefits. I met great people from different countries and made new lifelong friends. I had the chance to try delicious food at the university’s three different cafeterias and at restaurants in Daegu. One of the most memorable aspects of my time there was sitting in the International Lounge, which was the most important part of the school for me, to do assignments, chat with friends, or play table tennis, which led to unforgettable memories. We had an amazing time in karaoke rooms and immortalized our memories in photo booths.I went to Korea only knowing how to say “hello,” but I highly recommend that anyone planning to go learn at least some basic phrases, as communication can be difficult sometimes since most people don’t speak English. Or, like me, you can rely on friends who speak Korean :)The school term ended in December, and since my visa was valid until February, I had the opportunity to visit Japan for two weeks. We traveled to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara, and although it was sometimes exhausting, it was a lot of fun.
